Vellum Sampler

A wonderful stocking stuffer or small holiday treat, our Vellum sampler consists of three 2.5x3.5 inch ACEO or artist cards, one in each of our available parchment colors. The natural, black, and brazilwood cards are protected in a handmade cardstock trifold folder and decorated with a ribbon and our card.<br /><br />All vellums are handmade using historical materials and procedures, no automation or power tools involved. The lamb hides are from local meat sheep, turning what would otherwise be a waste product into a gorgeous writing or art strata. The dyes used are likewise handmade in small batches, based on medieval and renaissance recipes and practices.<br /><br />A wonderful introduction to vellum or parchment.<br /><br />*As a handmade natural animal product, variations in color, texture, or thickness are to be expected and are not defects.
